Safety Officer
Role Overview
Ensure safe working practices across manufacturing, assembly, installation, commissioning, and customer-site projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate and maintain high HSE standards.
- Undertake H&S inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Promote a behavioral safety culture and ensure H&S management system compliance.
- Undertake and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS).
- Investigate accidents/near misses and ensure corrective actions.
- Evaluate contractor H&S competencies.
- Coordinate Fire Warden and First Aid cover.
- Develop H&S procedures and manage PPE compliance.
- Liaise with external bodies and assist with project planning/inspections.
Preferred Qualification / Skills
- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, HSE, or a related field.
- Relevant certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or local safety certifications).
- Strong knowledge of local and international H&S regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Experience in manufacturing or project-site safety management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Hands-on experience in risk assessment and accident investigation.
- Ability to travel to customer sites or project locations as required.
