Automation Engineer
Role Overview
Develop and integrate automation solutions for assembly, testing, material handling, robotic, and production-line applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial machinery and assembly lines.
- Integrate robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Kuka) and vision systems for automated handling and inspection.
- Select and specify automation hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and pneumatic systems.
- Develop and implement control logic and safety protocols to ensure system reliability and operator safety.
- Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to align control systems with mechanical hardware structures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software or hardware issues during system installation, integration, and shop-floor commissioning.
Preferred Qualification / Skills
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in industrial automation, robotic integration, or machine control systems.
- Advanced proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Rockwell) and HMI / SCADA development.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus).
- Knowledge of robotic programming and simulation tools would be a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex integration projects independently.
