Automation Engineer

Role Overview

Develop and integrate automation solutions for assembly, testing, material handling, robotic, and production-line applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial machinery and assembly lines.
  • Integrate robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Kuka) and vision systems for automated handling and inspection.
  • Select and specify automation hardware components, including sensors, actuators, and pneumatic systems.
  • Develop and implement control logic and safety protocols to ensure system reliability and operator safety.
  • Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to align control systems with mechanical hardware structures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software or hardware issues during system installation, integration, and shop-floor commissioning.

Preferred Qualification / Skills

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in industrial automation, robotic integration, or machine control systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Rockwell) and HMI / SCADA development.
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Profinet, EtherCAT, Modbus).
  • Knowledge of robotic programming and simulation tools would be a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex integration projects independently.
