Design Engineer
Role Overview
Design Special Purpose Machines, robotic cells, fixtures, jigs, assembly systems, and industrial automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complete mechanical designs for custom industrial automation projects and special purpose machines.
- Create detailed 3D models, assembly drawings, and manufacturing layouts using CAD software.
- Select appropriate standard components such as motors, sensors, actuators, and pneumatic systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs meet quality and process standards.
- Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, production efficiency, and long-term reliability.
Preferred Qualification / Skills
- Educational level: B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/Mechatronics).
- Solid proficiency in 3D CAD design software (SolidWorks/Solid Edge/NX / Creo etc.).
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, machine kinetics, and material selection.
- Hands-on experience in designing fixtures, robotic workstations, or assembly lines.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a fast-paced cross-functional project team.
