Purchase Engineer
Role Overview
Manage sourcing, vendor development, purchase coordination, and material availability for automation projects and machine building.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop reliable vendors for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components required for SPM and automation.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-efficiency and timely project execution.
- Co-ordinate with design and production teams to understand material specifications and ensure on-time procurement.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent project delays while optimizing material costs.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, lead time, and cost compliance.
Preferred Qualification / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical procurement for industrial automation or machine building.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and technical specifications.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
